Donald A. Zinyk, FCA, ICD  (Board Chair)

Don is retired from KPMG, where he spent twenty-nine years as an Enterprise Engagement Partner specializing in owner- and family-managed businesses. He has extensive experience in the governance of both private companies and charitable institutions.

Don is currently a member of the Board of Governors of St. Joseph’s College and the Board of Directors of Catholic Social Services, as well as serving on a number of private advisory boards.


Peter Ouelette

Peter is the former President and CEO (retired) of AltaSteel Inc. He has 36 years’ experience in the steel industry, including the design and promotion of efficient application of steel in the automotive and construction markets in Canada and internationally.

On retiring from AltaSteel, Peter moved into consulting, focusing on productivity improvements in the mid-size manufacturing industry. He continues to advise small and mid-size manufacturing companies in productivity improvement and strategic planning.

Peter has served as an Economic Development consultant with most Canadian Provinces and with China. He was a member of the Edmonton Central Council, and in 2012, was elected President of the Western Regional Council. Peter has also served on a variety of national and international industry and private sector boards. His volunteer commitments include the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.


Sig Jorstad

Sig Jorstad was born and raised in Alberta and received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan. He spent twenty-five years in the Highway Transportation and Oilfield Hotshot industries in Western Canada and the Northwestern US, then redirected his focus to the private security industry, incorporating United Protection Services Inc. in 1985 and taking the company public 20 years later in 2014.

Sig is a Rotarian, a Paul Harris Fellow, and a 2013 recipient of a Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Award. In 1995, he was appointed to the Federal Task Force on Government Program Review, and subsequently appointed by the Deputy Prime Minister to the Canadian Consultative Council on Multiculturalism. Sig is a past Vice-Chair of the Strathcona County Economic Development Advisory Board, and has served on a host of other community and national-level organizations, including Uncles at Large, Junior Achievement, Camp Warwa, the Canadian Progress Club, Toastmasters International, and others. He is currently semi-retired and devotes time to expanding the United Victims Assistance Foundation Inc., which he founded in 1994.


Donald Keith (President and CEO)

Don holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and an M.A. in Organisational Leadership from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Don held a variety of engineering positions in the resource, structural, commercial, and industrial industries before purchasing QC Inspection Services in 1993. Since then, Don has grown the company from a 3-employee operation into the Qualimet of today.

Don is committed to leading the metallurgical and welding engineering industries toward a position of increased responsibility and accountability to contractors, owners, and the public. He was a long-time Rotary member and his family has hosted many exchange students.
